Best time of year to visit Taghazout
Taghazout is an all year round destination with warm temperatures and incredible surfing conditions making this an ideal winter sun escape.
The best months to visit for the best surfing conditions are September to April. For the experienced surfers these months offer the best conditions. The whole years offers conditions suitable for all abilities.
Often the surf houses will offer discounts for visitors outside of the September to April period. January produces the coolest temperatures with an average on 20c during the day.
Munga Guest House
Located in the heart of Taghazout, Munga Guest House is a unique, and wonderful place to stay. Munga comprises 3 separate buildings and has 17 spacious suites for guests to stay.

We stayed in both the Driftwood Room suite and the Africa Magnum suite which were both incredible rooms and really showed how special this hotel is. With beach and ocean views Munga is one of the most unique places to stay in Taghazout.

World of Waves is a boutique surf hotel that combines modern comfort with a passion for surfing. Set just steps from the beach, it offers contemporary rooms with ocean views, a rooftop terrace, and a surf school catering to all levels.
The hotel’s design is clean and minimalistic, with the focus of course being on the surfing and local surroundings. We stayed in the mystery room which is one of 3 larger rooms located on the top floor with a large shared balcony. Directly below is another outdoor terrace where yoga lessons take place.
Seaside Hotel By Dfrost Almugar
Rooftop yoga, direct beach access, private sundecks, delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere make Seaside Hotel by Dfrosts one of the most sought after places to stay in Taghazout.
With an in-house surf school, bright, comfortable and spacious rooms it's easy to see why. Its private location just outside of the centre of Taghazout makes it the ideal place to relax after a day surfing while still having easy access to all the shops and restaurants of the village.
Sable Beach Surf Camp Taghazout
Sable Beach Surf House Taghazout is an ideal spot for surf lovers looking for a more immersive experience. This surf house offers simple yet comfortable accommodation, the wooden pallet headboards are a nice touch..
Sable Beach Surf House provides surf lessons, equipment rentals, and organised surf trips to local surf spots. Sable Beach Surf House is set back away from the beach in Taghazout, despite its location the rooftop terrace still offers excellent views of the ocean.
The location of the surf house makes this a much more affordable option with a double room starting from £25 per night and a bed in a 6 bed dormitory from £11 per night.
Hashpoint Surf Camp
A modest sized surf camp with 8 rooms accommodating up to 19 people. The intimate nature of Has Point though is w2hat makes it special. The ability to get to know all the other guests during your time at the surf camp often means friends for life.

Dar Surf
With beach from properties at a premium in Tagazhout and often dominated by the more higher end hotels and surf camps. Dar Surf is located at the back of Taghazout away from the premium beach front locations. Dar Surf is a cosy, family-run guesthouse offering a more personal touch to stand out.

Located on Taghazout Beach with many of the other larger 5 star resorts. The resort at the time of writing this guide is surrounded on both sides by empty plots of land. This is likely to change very quickly with new construction projects popping up.
Despite the potential for future construction surrounding the resort, the Hyatt Regency Taghazout offers a luxurious escape to the Moroccan coast. The resort boast world class service, promising to treat its guests like celebrities.
